Vision Without Glasses Program = Gene Myopia - Found!

This occurs due to the mismatch of force optical system of the eye and its length. Research experts were led by Duke University in North Carolina, USA. For this were analyzed genome 13,414 volunteers from different countries around the world.

The analysis revealed that the development of myopia is closely linked to DNA sequence that affects a gene RASGRF1. This gene, which functions in neurons and the retina, is responsible for the perception of the image and the formation of visual memory. To confirm the findings, researchers have created genetically engineered mice lacking RASGRF1, and found they had abnormalities in the structure of the eye lens.
